This was a post from last June 🙂

We planted our 10 acres of land a few weeks ago our little hemp plants are starting to come up! We hope to have 1000s of these and plan to get at least a pound of flower per plant. For those that may not know, the “flower” is where CBD and other cannabinoids are primarily found. This little plant is looking really good.

Farming is a very new adventure for us! Luckily, we’ve had the farmer who leased our land for the last 10 years or so, helping us plant and water. His name’s Tony and he’s awesome. Getting water to our plants has been exciting. Moving pipe, pumping from the fresh mountain run off that we have access to, and making sure all 10 acres gets plenty to drink.

We’re learning quickly that weeds grow faster than weed :-). (HEMP).

The fencing is almost all in, which you can see in the picture above.

This week we’ll be furrowing between our 4 foot rows. By the way, we have 14 miles of rows on our 10 acres! Crazy! It took me about 12 hours to plant the seeds with Tony’s awesome GPS tractor and our new seed planter.

This week we hope to start putting plants we’ve been storing indoors, into the field.

We’ve been so blessed to have so many amazing people helping us and are excited to keep you posted on this new adventure!
